Caitlin Bell is a quick response and features journalist for The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina. She finds passion in covering stories of human interest as well as those that help communities better connect and share their stories in media. She enjoys pursuing the motives and aspirations behind people and personalities, holding to her academic background; a bachelor's in sociology and a minor in journalism from UNC Charlotte in North Carolina.


She is well-versed in the Charleston events scene and doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty in an office technology misunderstanding. She is responsible for the editing and layout of the newspaper obituaries page as well as reporting on notable Charlestonians who’ve passed.


When she’s not face-deep in her computer monitor writing, you’ll find her nose-deep in a good memoir or ever-worsening her arthritis playing video games. When creatively blocked in career pursuits, Caitlin is journaling or inventing a crafty new gadget to fix a household pain.
